About Lynnie's Lovable Yorkies
Who We Are
Lynnie's Lovable Yorkies is a small breeder of (mainly) parti colored AKC registered Yorkshire Terriers. All of our litters are planned and we prepare for each little bundle of joy. Our puppies are whelped and kept in our home and become family from their first breath.
Our Sire, (mighty) Mickey is 4 pounds of spunky cuteness and lives up to his name. He's parti Yorkie with a multitude of colors in his genes and our Dam is Sugar Bear who takes after her name. Sugar also has the chocolate gene among many others. She is as sweet sugar and a Bear when she is protecting her babies. That is until they are a few weeks old and become playful & rambunctious on their own. Sugar Bear nurses her babies as long as she wants to. We do not release any puppies before 12-14 weeks and sometimes later depending on size and nursing patterns. Once the puppies begin to ween off their mother’s milk, we begin a healthy diet of Primal Raw food. You will receive a starter supply of this food and can elect to transition to the more adult version at your own timing.
Feeding
If you decide to change from feeding raw, we highly recommend that you transition slowly feeding a mixture of raw Primal & your other selection proportionately narrowing down on the Primal little by little until you are completely changed over. By transitioning this way, it will help to eliminate any digestive reactions such as constipation or diarrhea.
We believe that dogs are carnivores and from their creation they were meant to have and eat meat. However, I realize that not all thinking is alike. Our dogs are a specimen of health and have not required vet visits.
Why We Feed Raw
Studies throughout the years from dog experts, (some) veterinarians and breeders have leaned toward feeding raw as the best choice lor canines. Dogs are carnivores. Dogs are able to absorb raw nutrients more easily than in cooked food. Food with raw eliminates avoid a lot of the problems caused by chemicals, flavorings, additives and colorings contained in processed and kibble loud. We have found it improves skin for a healthier coat and less allergic skin issues. Other advantages are cleaner teeth, fresher breath, better weight control, increased mobility in older dogs and fewer trips to the vet. Without going into the entire study, we encourage you to check into the advantages of feeding raw and continue to do so. But if not, please transition your new puppy slowly as outlined above. We also offer raw treats for which a variety can be found at your local pet store or ordered online.
Your puppy has been on Primal Freeze-Dried Puppy food, and in spite of the mixing direction, we mix it to be a little soupy to complete re-hydration.
Supplement
Pet Moringa Balance* is the supplement we use for all our dogs/puppies and seems to have benefited for years now. No vet appointments since we began using it 4 years ago. We suggest you check it out and decide for yourself as we are not in the business of promoting. We have provided a starter sample & information along with your other goodies.
